Legislative Actions
April/May
Mary Ann Jungles was re-appointed to the Zoning Board.
Richard Baum was re-appointed as Police Chief.
Paul Travica was re-appointed as Village Treasurer.
Tom Fitzgerald was re-appointed as Village Clerk.
June
The Village purchased six village signs to be installed at various entrances to the village.
Ordinance 811 was passed, amending sections three and seven of the zoning code of the Village of Rockdale.
Part-time officer Mark Guzick was made a full-time officer.
Eric Kaup was hired as a part-time officer.

Gail Shimek was hired as a part-time secretary.
July
Ordinance 813 was passed, which is an ordinance authorizing the execution of an assignment of a current lease with Primeco Personal Communications L.P. to Chicago 20 MHZ, L.L.C.
August
The Village purchased a new squad car from Terry's Ford in Peotone for $20,690.00.
Ordinance 814 was passed, which is an ordinance extending the cable television franchise agreement as adopted in ordinance 596.
Ordinance 815 was passed, which is an ordinance in connection with rights and responsibilities related to locally imposed and administered taxed of the Village of

Rockdale.
Police Computers
$20,000 Grant Received
On May 1st, the Rockdale Police Dept. was notified by the Illinois Criminal Justice Authority that they were awarded a Grant in the amount of $20,000, for the purchase of squad computers.  As of September, the computers had been received and installed in our patrol vehicles.
